Translation Coordinator

Communications Syllabus is looking for a translation coordinator to join its close‑knit in-house translation team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining strong client relationships and creating an effective team environment.

He/she will be responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing quotes, opening projects, allocating the work (internally and externally), interpreting client instructions, negotiating deadlines, liaising with clients, preparing invoices, and managing our team of external providers. He/she may also be required to lead meetings, take minutes, and help prepare proposals.

Required skills

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar co-ordination or translation role
  • Clear understanding of translation processes
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in both French and English
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team player, sense of initiative, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude
  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experience with FileMaker and translation software, an asset

Salary commensurate with experience
Start date: Immediate
Full-time permanent position
